OUR ORGANIZATION

O.T. Kids of NY was founded in 2002, by two professional occupational therapists who saw a need for a high-quality referral agency serving Westchester, Ulster and Putnam counties and other parts of the metro New York City area.

Approved as a provider by the New State Department of Health and the New York City Board of Education, the organization is headed by co-founders, Elizabeth Meyer and Heather Meyer.

Elizabeth Meyer, MS Ed., MS OTR/L, is the Director and President of the corporation. She has over twenty years of experience clinical Rehabilitation and management of programs for the disabled. She holds a Masters Degrees in Special Education and in Occupational Therapy. She studied School Administration and earned NYS certifications in School District Administration and School Supervision. Prior to developing O.T. Kids of NY, she was the director and principal of a private non-profit school for children with disabilities in NYC for 18 years.

Heather Meyer, Co-Director and Vice President, also holds a degree in Occupational Therapy. With over ten years of practical background in treating children with a wide range of disabilities, she has extensive experience in working with children as an occupational therapist in primary schools and pre-schools throughout Westchester County and offering her expertise to teachers and parents to help them address the requirements of special-needs children.
